Toddler 1
12-22 Months
Everything we do in the Toddler 1 room is designed for exploring. Our T1 program is based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on experience and play. Each day is full of fun activities that excite young toddlers and help them develop cognitively and socially. The T1 room is lively- they can often be found in the Big Room dancing and singing.
Our uniquely low ratios carry over into this room with, at most, a 4 toddler to 1 teacher ratio.

Communicating With Others
OCC uses storytelling and word games to help your child practice imitating and asking questions. We consistently name familiar items and support rich vocabulary development.
Building Brain Power
OCC helps your toddler begin to learn about the world. Our toddlers love to practice sorting and matching with colors and shapes. They also benefit from learning areas focused on sensory exploration.
Making New Friends
OCC supports your toddler in growing socially and emotionally. We encourage interactions with other children in group activities, guide the development of sharing and listening skills, and model how to express emotions appropriately.
Growing a Healthy Body
OCC provides ways for your toddler to gain increased body awareness. We teach body parts, promote self-care skills such as feeding, cleaning, and dressing, and support large-motor development and eye-hand coordination through a variety of activities.
Nurturing Creativity
OCC helps your toddler develop individual talents. We encourage pretending and role-play through dramatic play with props, and promote self-expression through art and music.
